Hello, all! Ryan here.
As some of you may know, October 19th is the International Day of Archaeology, a day where AIA regional chapters and other organizations give presentations on archaeological research for people of all ages and interests. As a part of this program, I’ll be giving a short presentation that includes material from some of Arch Aerial’s field work around the world at the Central Texas AIA Chapter’s ‘Archaeology Playdate’ on Sunday, October 20th, 2013. In addition to showing some of the aerial imagery from our work this summer, I’ll be talking a bit about 3D photogrammetry and future applications for this new technology in the field of archaeology. I’ll also be bringing along one of the quad-copters.
If you are in the Austin area and have some free time this Sunday, come check it out! In addition to seeing some of our latest work, you’ll get a chance to hear about some of the most recent field work from the brilliant graduate students and faculty of the University of Texas at Austin. Hope to see you there!
