Belize and Italy Projects

While our service team is busy at work down in Belize, we are staying equally as busy back in the States. Our main focus over the next month is preparing for the eight week assignment in beautiful Italy and getting ready for the second leg of the excavation in Belize. Ben and Nathan, two of our engineers, have been working on the next generation platform that will be implemented in Italy. Once built, each day will be spent flying the platform as Nathan will be joining the team going to Italy. While flying conditions will be much more forgiving in Siena, compared to the rain forest conditions in Belize, we will be more than comfortable testing our new technologies in the region. Finally, just days after Ryan returns from Belize he will be traveling to Italy with Nathan to commence our Italian projects.

Concerning the second half of the excavation in Belize, the main focus is being able to update the current systems that are in place and stocking up on supplies. I am very excited to join Rebecca in Belize and fill in for Ryan. The project, as Ryan touched on in the previous blog post, is already a success after just a couple weeks on site, and I am pleased to be part of the research team.  Flying our platforms in Texas is exciting, but the teams in the jungle of Belize and the hills of Siena have something to truly marvel at.

Once again, thank you all for your interest and support. We look forward to sharing our experiences in the near future.
