How Can I Use Drones for My Business or Project?

At Arch Aerial, we often hear from project managers looking to implement UAS data in their design and construction efforts, or from operators looking to streamline their O&M duties. They are often aware of the technology and the incredible payload options (high-resolution DSLR, infrared, LiDAR) that exist for UAS hardware, but generating terabytes of drone data that need to be utilized across departments (and often companies) gives pause to seasoned project managers.

Enter “UAS-as-a-service” or “drone-as-a-service” companies: Implementation of an end-to-end managed UAS solution allows for use of UAS data in a way that applies to each specific business case. Drone imagery on an external hard drive doesn’t answer many questions. A drone solution that generates mapping and 3D modeling data, when coupled with the analysis calibrated to answer a project manager’s problem, is extremely powerful.

Use of a service provider also sets drone compliance and drone liability concerns on the shoulders of the solution provider.
